Hi, I’m Sabina. I’m a graphic designer, among other things. My design practice is rooted in curiosity, conceptual thinking, and a desire to see differently. I’m particularly interested in making things you can hold in your hands.

I'm currently in my last year at GBC School of Design. I also have an honours degree in English and Creative Writing, which informs the stories I tell through design.

In my free time, I attempt yoga poses beyond my skill level, flood my notes app with ideas for books I’ll never write, and impulsively take on craft projects to procrastinate going to the grocery store.

DAUGHTER TONGUE
2025

Self-directed project for Ideas and Images course
10x10 in

Daughter Tongue is an editorial passion project inspired by my mother. This book is an exercise in translation: my mother’s first language is Hebrew and she took these photos in Paris, where she spoke French. I used handlettering to explore Hebrew typography and translate each photo she took into a language that everyone can understand: design.

Rounded black frames are positioned asymmetrically around each photo as a visual reference to an early viewfinder, placing the reader in the perspective of my mother taking the photo. The style of the handlettering is inspired by the feeling and content of each photo—an attempt at visual empathy. The project aims to create a visual dialogue between my mother and I through each of our creative mediums.
